The 2026 Specialized Aethos 2 is an updated lightweight road bike with a focus on pure riding feel and comfort, featuring a more relaxed geometry, increased tire clearance, and fully integrated cables. The 2026 model has a 15mm taller stack height, a 7mm longer wheelbase, and 35mm of tire clearance to accommodate a wider range of conditions and improve stability and comfort. It is designed for riders who prioritize a comfortable, responsive, and sublime ride over aerodynamics and racing rules. 

Key updates and features

• Geometry: A 15mm increase in stack height and a 7mm longer wheelbase result in a more relaxed riding position and increased stability at speed. A 0.5° flatter head tube angle enhances handling.
• Tire clearance: Increased to 35mm, allowing for wider, more comfortable tires for versatility on various road surfaces.
• Cabling: Fully integrated internal cables provide a clean aesthetic.
• Frame: The FACT 10r carbon frame has a claimed weight of 705g (Pro model) or 595g (S-Works model).
• Components: Models feature new components like the Roval Alpinist cockpit and wheels, and have options for different groupsets, such as SRAM Force or Shimano Ultegra.
